Hawzah News Agency- Hazem Qassem, Hamas spokesman, said on Saturday in response to the continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes in Gaza: The Zionist enemy's claim that the attacks and killings are a "response" to the violation of the ceasefire by Hamas is nothing but a false and failed excuse to justify the horrific crimes against the civilian population.
Al-Masirah quoted him as saying: "These baseless claims indicate the occupation regime's clear disregard for mediators, guarantor countries and all parties participating in the so-called "Peace Council''.
The Hamas spokesman, calling on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations, emphasized: It is necessary to condemn these punishments and crimes in a transparent manner and to take immediate practical measures to stop them.
He also called for the leaders of the occupying regime to be tried for committing war crimes and to prevent the continuation of the policy of impunity; a policy that encourages the enemy to further kill and destroy.
These statements were made while Palestinian sources reported the martyrdom of at least 15 people following the Zionist regime’s attack on the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood police station in northern Gaza City.
Eyewitnesses stated that the station was directly targeted at a time when the presence of citizens was at its peak and there was practically no sign of the Zionist regime’s adherence to the ceasefire in Gaza.
In this regard, Haitham Abu al-Ghazlan, a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, emphasized that these killings indicate the true intention of the Zionist regime to defeat and destroy the ceasefire agreement.
He added: The escalation of attacks clearly shows that the occupying regime does not adhere to any agreement and is trying to impose new realities on the geographical and political levels in its favor.
Abu al-Ghazlan also clarified that this escalation of tensions is related to the issue of the Rafah crossing and the route of humanitarian aid entry, and the enemy is trying to show that it still has full control over these routes.
He concluded by emphasizing: The continuation of the aggressions places a heavy responsibility on the mediators and guarantors of the ceasefire agreement, especially the United States and Donald Trump, to force the Zionist regime to fully implement the agreement.
